Dan'l Mackey Almy, president and managing partner
Dan'l Mackey Almy has enjoyed a successful and dynamic career in the fresh produce industry since 1994. In May of 2004, Dan'l formed DMA Solutions, Inc. Over the past 2 ½ years, DMA Solutions has successfully implemented customized business solutions by utilizing the team's comprehensive marketing, business development and strategic sales experience.

Prior to establishing DMA Solutions, Inc., Dan'l held the position of Vice President at Fresh Del Monte Produce, overseeing the Wal-Mart & Sam's business for North America. In this role, she managed a 17-person team comprised of business functions including continuous inventory replenishment, business analysis, and commodity management. She also was responsible for $225 million dollars in annual revenue and 13 commodity categories, requiring a thorough understanding of volumes, seasonality, competitive forces, and packaging alternatives.

Prior to her position at Del Monte, Dan'l spent 8 ½ years with Standard Fruit & Vegetable where she held several leadership roles. As Director of Marketing, she was accountable for all marketing initiatives including the development and execution of a corporate marketing plan, a national advertising campaign, company website, and sales collateral. In the areas of packaging and product development, she launched over 25 new products carrying the Harvest Select label as well as various private labels for both Retail and Foodservice.

As the Wal-Mart Account Manager, Dan'ls duties replicated those performed in her vice presidency role with Fresh Del Monte Produce. She held this position for 5 years while simultaneously managing the marketing department.

Over the past two years, Dan'l has expanded her interest in the fresh produce industry by acquiring ownership in two innovative product development companies. With her involvement in these organizations, Dan'l has found a passion for sustainable and functional packaging that deliver solutions for consumers.

Throughout her career Dan'l has remained active in the produce industry while participating in many industry events, serving on the Produce Marketing Association Packaging Council, PMA/PACK Family Fund Advisory Board and United Fresh Fruit & Vegetable Association Leadership Alumni Board. In 2004, the respect of her peers was recognized when she was named a Produce Business, "40 Under Forty".

Dan'l graduated from Texas A & M University with an Agriculture Business degree in 1994. She lives in Las Colinas, Texas with her husband Drew and daughter Mackey Payton.
